Position: Database Developer

Reports To: Head of Devops

We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Database Developer with a passion for problem-solving to join our dynamic team here at HFmarkets. This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with developers across multiple languages and platforms to optimize database operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting, analyzing, and optimizing SQL and NoSQL queries across various database technologies, including MariaDB, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, CockroachDB, InfluxDB, OpenSearch, standalone MariaDB's, standalone MySQL, AWS Aurora.
• Collaborate with developers to understand their database needs and challenges, learning from each unique project.
• Gain hands-on experience in comprehensive database system analysis, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions.
• Develop technical documentation related to query performance tuning, problem resolution, and system design, adding value to your professional development.
• Keep pace with the latest technologies and trends in Database Management Systems (DBMS) as part of your learning journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or working towards this qualification.
• Any experience as a database developer, database administrator, or similar role is an advantage, but not essential.
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and languages.
• Eagerness to learn and work with a variety of databases.
• Familiarity with any programming language such as Python, .NET, PHP, or RUST is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with our diverse and friendly team.
