CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Cybersecurity Consultancy Services to clients operating in various industry sectors, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Information Security Consultant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant can expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging engagements mostly in the technical domain of cybersecurity, ranging from Cybersecurity risk, threat and vulnerability reviews, through optimisation of client cybersecurity controls and development of cyber security frameworks and programmes to providing specialist support on issues such as threat analysis, systems behaviour and cyber incidents/data breaches response. You will ideally hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or any other relevant field and possess a genuine interest to work in the cyber security field. Any knowledge of Information Security Management Standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 as well as Data protection (GDPR) requirements will be considered a significant advantage. 1+ year of prior experience in a relevant role is highly desirable, although Recent Graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understanding client’s business challenges and the threats they face.
- Advising on information security governance, frameworks, and operating models.
- Drafting, reviewing and updating manuals, policies, processes and procedures with respect to relevant information security regulatory standards and best practice.
- Providing advice and solutions on information security compliance queries/issues.
- Helping clients optimise their approach to security controls and risk management.
- Linking information security to other consultancy offerings on risk management, resilience and compliance provide holistic support to our clients.
- Upholding Company values by acting with highest standard of ethics and integrity.
- Supporting business development activities such as proposal development, content production and client presentations.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors in Computer Science, or other Information Technology field, Engineering, Mathematics or Masters in Cybersecurity or other related field.
- Good knowledge of regulatory environment.
- Any previous experience in Information Security is highly desirable, although Recent Graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
- Proficient in English and Greek languages.
- Able to work island wide and travel overseas for projects.
- Self-motivation and genuine interest to work independently and as part of a team in the cyber security field.
- Information security governance, risk and compliance (GRC) knowledge is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Information Security Management Standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 will be considered an advantage.
- An understanding of Data protection (GDPR) requirements is highly beneficial.
- Ability to review and determine effectiveness of controls of information systems, applications and IT infrastructures is a plus.
