Happy Valley Veterinary Clinic and Pet hotel is offering a permanent position of a pet carer.

Location:

Konstantinou Kavafi 9, Erimi 4630, Limassol

Candidates need to live in Limassol as well as have their own accommodation and transportation.

Education and experience:

• Animal management degree – not necessary

• Agriculture – not necessary

Schedule:

• 6 days a week, full time and permanent job

Small animal handling skills:

• Understanding of small animal’s body language

• How to approach a pet safely

• Understanding of pet restraining techniques for vet examination etc

• How to lift the pet on and off the table safely

• How to put a muzzle on a pet or other safety equipment’s

• Ability to walk small to large dogs (50kg) safely

• How to enter and exit the pet’s room safely

• How to take the pet out of the crate safely or to put the pet in the crate safely

• Confident manner around pets

Responsibilities

We provide training during the trial period – the trial period is paid

Please keep in mind that a Pet Carer is involved with a lot of cleaning every day. You need to be willing to clean several times a day of the inside and outside areas of the Hotel.

Type of pets - Taking care of small to large dogs (50kg), cats, rabbits, and other animals

• Requires a lot of physical strength and involves long hours of walking

• Build an excellent relationship with pets

• Pets Diet

• Hygiene – this includes many hours of cleaning - cleaning rooms, verandas, walking areas, washing

• Check on health conditions

• Check on pets behaviour

• Socialise and exercise pets

• Grooming, bath, brush,

• Comfort

• Safety

• Pet’s belongings

• Check in and check out pets from the hotel
