CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit an Audit Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Audit Director, the successful applicant will oversee the execution and completion of a variety of international and local audit engagements, building and sustaining excellent client relationships and delivering high-quality client service by monitoring the performance of the audit team, coaching team members and cultivating their capabilities. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field and will be a full member of a recognised accounting body with approximately 3+ years of post-qualification experience in the Audit profession. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek are a must.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent client service by anticipating and addressing client concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain regular contact with portfolio of clients and sustain mutually beneficial relationships.
- Coordinate the various stages of audit engagements, including analytical reviews, budgeting, planning, correspondence, financial statement preparation, disclosures, and administrative functions.
- Effectively manage risk associated with audit engagements.
- Monitor and review the work assigned to more junior members of the team in order to ensure an effective and efficient execution.
- Provide continuous coaching and feedback to develop capabilities of team members.
- Build trust and collaboration amongst team members.
- Plan, execute and ensure the successful completion of audits in accordance with professional standards.
- Ensure that financial statements, client correspondence and other audit related documents are prepared in accordance with company best practices.
- Applies knowledge of current issues in audit, accounting, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry specific concerns to client engagements.
- Oversee the execution of the debt collection process for clients under his/her portfolio.
- Review and finalize audit assignments and other client deliverables.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively in order to meet departmental goals.
- Review data to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
- Evaluate the efficacy and adequacy of the department’s processes and resources.
- Coach, mentor and develop members of the department by communicating job expectations, providing accurate feedback, and identifying relevant training opportunities.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration to drive high performance.
- Cultivate and employee engagement through supportive leadership.
- Collaborate with Management for strategy formulation and implementation.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
- Full member of the ACCA/ACA.
- Approximately 7 years of relevant audit experience and/or 3 years of post-qualification audit experience.
- Experience in coaching, supervising, and managing team members.
- A proven track record of establishing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Greek.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Caseware software.
- Good knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team leadership and management skills.
- Ability to influence, engage and motivate people.
