POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Investigations, the Investigator, Operations, would be primarily responsible for performing complex investigative work in conjunction with incident reports. Duties include but are not limited to conducting thorough investigations of allegations of employee misconduct; fraud; theft; abuse; etc. Works under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Investigations, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment; exercising sound judgment when determining which events require follow-up response or escalation; maintaining incident documentation, and analysing incident trends.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Utilizes technology, analysis, interviewing and assessment techniques to protect and safeguard personnel, information, and assets of the company
- Conducts inquiries into matters as directed by the Director, Corporate Investigations regarding any illegal activity which makes impact against the business. Major case types include: Procurement fraud; Corruption & bribery; Complimentary/entitlements fraud; Thefts and embezzlement; Assault and threat; Sexual / workplace harassment; Any other misconduct or failure to comply with the company policy
- Analyses CCTV footage, access control systems and other data collection capabilities, in response to incidents in order to identify behaviours, root causes, locations, potential evidence, and/or person(s) involved
- Collects document and preserve video, still images, documents, and other materials connected to an investigation and maintain it as part of the investigation’s workflow and case adjudication process
- Conducts interviews of victims, witnesses and persons of interest utilizing established interviewing techniques and skills specific to corporate investigations
- Reports to the Director of Corporate Investigations, on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of ICR Cyprus
- Prepares reports on investigations or specific projects and other ad hoc analysis as directed
- Maintain a high level of property knowledge and a sound knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Ensure all activities undertaken comply with Cyprus & European Law and company policies and procedures
- Performs any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Investigations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be familiar with the Investigations Industry and understands correct reporting process.
- Experience in the implementation of investigative systems, processes, procedures, and actions to investigate and remedy incidents.
- Must possess outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Background and Knowledge of organized crime, security, safety, regulatory and legal elements is an advantage.
- 2+years of experience working in the Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Audit, Incident Management, or related field.
- Able to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language very well.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, Fraud and Financial Crime Investigation, Audit or related field is highly preferred.
- Professional qualification in Fraud Examination (ACFE) is highly preferred and any forms of formal training and/or internationally recognized certification as an investigator in the areas of fraud and/or workplace behaviour is highly preferred.
