CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most long-established and respected providers of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit a IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will join a team of IT specialists responsible for administering, managing, and supporting IT infrastructure on behalf of various clients across Cyprus. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or another IT related field and possess approximately 3 years of previous experience in a relevant IT Administration role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage IT infrastructure environments, including servers, networks and storage systems.
• Perform system health monitoring, diagnostic tests, troubleshoot and fix issues compromising system performance or access to IT services.
• Analyze customer needs, identify vulnerabilities, and develop and implement new solutions and upgrades to inform business objectives and to improve the security posture.
• Analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement and assist with process improvement and automation.
• Provide consulting to customers on a diverse set of topics, including migration of workloads to cloud or hybrid environments, disaster recovery scenarios, data backup strategies etc…
• Stay informed on new advancements, features and competitive solutions in the industry.

Key Skills/Experience:

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or other IT related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in IT administration and management.
• Willing to continuously improve personal skills and knowledge.
• Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
• Administration of technologies based on Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and other Windows-based applications.
• Operating Systems (Windows and Linux based), enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring and troubleshooting knowledge and experience is desirable.
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Azure and Office 365 technologies knowledge is desirable.
• Experience of implementing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting IT solutions.
• Experience with the management of Azure or AWS cloud resources, migration of workloads, or DR scenarios design and implementation is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
• Team oriented but also able to work independently.
• Excellent customer facing skills and an ability to develop trusting customer relationships.
• Strong verbal communication skills (in English and Greek).
