CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit an IT Assistant to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant be responsible for handling a variety of IT support related tasks, including addressing any technological problems that arise within the Group and providing technical support to users by diagnosing and correcting issues. You should hold an academic background relating to Information Technology and possess previous, demonstrable experience within a similar IT Support position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for this role.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and operate computer network systems for businesses.
- Addressing any technological problems that arise within a company.
- Provide technical support to users by diagnosing and correcting problems.
- Perform complex computer operation tasks acting under general supervision, assist with development of operations procedures.
- Monitor and operate computer equipment and peripherals, perform routine maintenance that includes cleaning hardware.
- Organize and maintain various IT files and the citywide hardware and software inventory.
- Maintain and perform backups/operate standard office equipment.
- Configuring new computers, phones, and other devices and equipment.
- Creating and maintaining users in our internal and cloud-based systems.
- Helping employees operate AV equipment in our meeting rooms.
- Assisting employees with acute technical issues, and trouble-shooting software issues, among others Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems computer science or a related degree.
- Excellent command of English and outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to make current judgments, prioritize tasks, apply common sense.
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and computer hardware.
- Knowledge of computer applications and operating systems.
- PC hardware and peripheral troubleshooting and repair procedures experience.
- Principles and practices of computer and telephone support services, computer hardware and software applications and associated security and backup procedures.
- Basic business data processing principles, computer operations processing and procedures, the use of a word processor or personal computer, and printer operations and related equipment.
- Computer literate, working knowledge and experience of MS office.
- Independently diagnose and resolve computer problems and keep up to date with technology.
- Travel requirements might apply to EU and non-EU countries few times per year.
