CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Financial Services, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Product Owner to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will play a key role in the implementation and delivery of business projects within agreed time frames and scope, helping to gather requirements from the business and involving all key stakeholders in projects. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Information Technology, Business Management, Computer Science or another relevant field and possess approximately 2+ years of experience in a relevant role. This position suits a talented Business Analyst aspiring to continue their career path towards product ownership.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create project status reporting (Project burndown/Burnup charts).
  • Organise Sprint planning and Sprint review meetings along with the Scrum team and project manager.
  • Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.
  • Gathers requirements from the business and involves in the process all stakeholders (for the whole lifecycle).
  • Partners with IT and logistics functions to successfully deliver initiatives by producing business requirement documents, prioritising deliverables and engaging in the full project delivery lifecycle including business functional testing.
  • Deliver multiple business projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Assess the project risks and create a risk matrix.
  • Manage all stakeholders and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Produce well defined delivery plans that outline key project activities, their sequence and delivery timelines.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • BSc/MSc in Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field.
  • Approximately 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, logical analysis and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Understands business requirements, features, and technical implementation.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to obtain stakeholders’ buy-in and cooperation across departments.
  • Experience in financial services is desirable.
