THE COMPANY
On behalf of our client, a Group of Companies which constitutes a leading automotive distributor in the Cypriot market, we seek to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Senior Human Resources Officer, to be based in Nicosia.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all HR related activities within the parameters of the Group’s objectives and needs, directly reporting to the General Manager. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:
- In cooperation with the Group’s Management, set the HR strategic priorities of the Group
- Maintain and ensure that all HR systems, policies and procedures are effectively applied in support of Group’s needs and business goals
- Implement effective human resources planning by forecasting the Group’s staffing needs in cooperation with the Management Team
- Plan and coordinate recruitment and selection activities in line with the Group’s needs (i.e. preparation of job vacancies, reviewing of CVs, participation in interviews, preparation of the employment contracts, etc.)
- Review, maintain, update and monitor the effective implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures
- Assist and monitor the implementation of quality and health & safety policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure compliance
- Aid in the design, development and successful implementation of a Performance Management Appraisal system
- Assess and identify employee developmental needs; plan, organise and implement training and development initiatives, and assess their effectiveness
- Design and manage the induction process for new employees
- Maintain records of personnel-related data and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Provide support for the planning and organisation of HR related events, such as annual corporate events, team building activities, etc.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders (i.e. labour unions, HRDA, etc), associates and authorities
- Provide assistance and support for the resolution of any personnel problems / issues which may arise
- Maintain and update the employee records in an effective and consistent manner while ensuring confidentiality standards
- Compile and consolidate reports regarding employee-related data (i.e. HR related KPIs, absenteeism, etc.)
- Keep abreast with any new developments related to human resources such as trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or in a related discipline
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or in a related field will be considered as an advantage
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar position, in a reputable organisation
- Ability to work effectively with teams of employees with diverse skills and build strong relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organisational skills and ability to take initiative and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Analytical thinking, results-oriented and attention to detail
- Knowledge of the existing legislation and best practices related to his/her duties
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
- Excellent computer literacy
