CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies that develop cutting-edge technology solutions primarily for the Fintech and Online Gaming sectors, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Front-End Developer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant should be educated to degree level in Computer Science or a related field and will ideally hold some previous web development experience, although Recent Graduates are also encouraged to apply. You should be familiar with technologies including React, Vue, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, Nodejs and/or Bootstrap and any previous back-end development experience working with PHP is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Determine the structure and design of web pages.
• Develop features to enhance the user experience.
• Strike a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
• Ensure web design is optimized for smartphones.
• Build reusable code for future use.
• Utilize a variety of markup languages to write web pages.
• Maintain brand consistency throughout the design.
• Develop new web applications and maintain existing ones.
• Contribute to application architecture, user experience, site security and performance.
• Consistently improve the speed, reliability, and performance of the applications.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of API's and webhook services.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in web development.
• Experience with React, Vue, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, Nodejs and/or Bootstrap.
• 1+ years of experience with PHP (or other backend languages) is highly desirable.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Understanding of SEO principles.
• CodeIgniter/Laravel experience will be considered an advantage.
• Unity and Blockchain knowledge will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Experience at writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking along with a desire to keep learning.
• Precise and efficient communicator in English (written and verbal).
• A disciplined approach and ability to work with cross-functional multicultural teams.
