THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, Cyprus Import Corporation Ltd, we seek to recruit an experienced and high calibre professional for the position of Deputy Sales Manager (Passenger Cars), to be based in Nicosia.

Cyprus Import Corporation Ltd is the authorized distributor for Mercedes-Benz AG for Mercedes-Benz and Smart passenger cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans as well as Daimler Trucks AG for Mercedes-Benz trucks, buses and FUSO.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Sales Manager of the Company and will be responsible for optimizing Passenger Car sales performance within the framework of predetermined targets, ensuring the achievement of the agreed volume, market share, qualitative development aspects and financial results.

More specifically, the key responsibilities of the person to be appointed include, amongst other:

  • Propose and oversee the development and execution of sales growth strategies and action plans
  • Ensure significant lead generation for the Company; chase and conclude on key sales opportunities
  • Determine, coordinate, and review market-driven sales and pricing policies with the Sales Manager and Management Board
  • Review target achievement on a continuous basis and take corrective actions
  • Gather and analyze market data
  • Ensure the efficient supply of the retail network, organising supply chain depending on market opportunities
  • Organise and establish efficient procedures for order processing, import, storage and distribution to the retail network
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., manufacturer(s), retail network, etc.)
  • Manage, train, motivate and monitor sales team performance and provide guidance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or in a related field
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in sales, project management and/or general management preferably in the automotive field
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective leadership and management skills along with ability to provide directions to his/her team
  • Customer oriented
  • Analytical thinking and strong decision-making skills
  • Commercial awareness, business orientation and sales acumen
  • Organisational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal. Knowledge of the German language will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent computer literacy
