CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding provider of cutting-edge payment technology, we are seeking to recruit an IT Technician to join their growing team based in Paphos. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems, software and networks for the Company. Our client is seeking applicants who possess thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware, including a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems, with proven experience in a relevant position considered essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up computer workstations and other peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems and perform regular security scans.
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.

Key Skills/Experience:

• An academic background relating to Information Technology is desirable.
• Any relevant industry certifications will be considered a plus, but not essential.
• Proven experience in a relevant IT Support/Technican related position is essential.
• Sound knowledge of computer hardware and software is a must.
• In depth understanding of computer systems and networks.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
