CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly regarded Law Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit an experienced, Senior Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team. The successful applicant should hold an academic background in Law and will need to be a member of the Cyprus Bar Association. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in Litigation. Any previous exposure to Shipping Law will be considered an advantage, but not essential as training and guidance will be provided. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek & English are a must. Our client offers a highly competitive remuneration package based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Case management in litigation and arbitration cases including court attendance and settlement negotiations.
• Drafting legal documents, pleadings etc…
• Reviewing and drafting contracts.
• Liaising with external parties, intermediaries and clients.
• Conducting legal research.
• Prepare and provide legal advice and opinions.
• Court preparation and appearances.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Educated to Degree level in Law (LLB and/or LLM), ideally from a well-known and respected University.
• Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
• Minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience in litigation is essential.
• Shipping Law experience and knowledge will be considered an advantage, although training will be provided.
• Excellent command of Greek and English language, both written and spoken and computer literate.
• Able to deal with deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to take initiative.
• High sense of professionalism, able to work on his/her own initiative and coordinate with peers / colleagues.
• Committed to client service.
