Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager

CTC-ARI Airports Ltd, part of the ARI group, the Company managing the Travel Retail & Duty-Free shop operations at both Larnaca and Paphos International Airports, invites applications for the recruitment of a Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager (L&WOM), based at Larnaca International Airport.

Role

The main objective of the role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of both the Warehousing and Logistics functions in supporting Retail Sales. The position involves responsibility for the distribution, movement and storage of all stocks, Aviation Security (Known Supplier process), while ensuring the highest levels of Health & Safety are maintained throughout the operation. Knowledge of the Duty-Free environment and dealing with Customs would be an advantage. The L&WOM is also responsible for developing and implementing the budget along will all key components of the logistical supply chain.

Working primarily with the Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Purchasing, and Stock Planning & Order Management teams, the primary purpose of this position is to deliver a best-in-class service to Retail Operations while building and maintaining strong working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and foster a customer focused Logistics & Warehouse Operations solution within CTC-ARI.
• Relationship management is a critical function of the role and one of the primary relationships is that of Customs. Relationships must be developed at both a local and national level to ensure that CTC-ARI are fully engaged with Customs at all times, meeting compliance obligations with all processes and regulations and are able to positively engage with Customs on matters both local and international.
• Drive and maintain optimal performance of the Logistics & Warehouse Operations via a set of identified and agreed KPIs.
• Manage the agreed budget as per the annual Budget issued through the CTC-ARI Finance team.
• Maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Logistics Operation through the implementation of robust processes, technology, and systems.
• Develop a high-performing Logistics and Warehouse Operations team and within Warehousing, develop a strong ethos for the delivery of high-quality services and continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with all vendors and logistical stakeholders, seeking to optimise supply chain resources and costs.
• Ensure that all processes are followed so that CTC-ARI operates to the required standards set down by all relevant authorities including but not exclusive to Customs, Aviation Security DCA for the Known supplier program, HERMES airports, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, Ministry of Transport Communications and Works, etc.). Manage all international inbound shipments, and customs broker management.
• Work alongside the Stock Planning & Order Manager in developing and implementing the overall Logistics Supply Chain strategic plan to ensure that all stocks arrive to the business in good time.
• With the Logistic team to maximise deliveries while minimising cost with a focus on on-time delivery.
• Engagement with both the ARI Central team and other ARI/ARIME companies providing support on an ad hoc basis.
• ESG with a focus on sustainability and the future of internal transportation for the CTC-ARI business.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety issues are complied with and carried out by the Supply Chain team.

Person Specification – Requirements of the Role

• A minimum of 5 years of management experience in the retail or logistics and warehousing sector where supply chain management skills have been essential.
• Tertiary level/degree level desired, but not essential.
• Proven track record in developing, planning, and implementing logistics supply chain and warehousing plans.
• Experience in logistics supply chain reporting with attention to detail.
• Experience in the use of WMS warehouse applications, preferably NAV.
• Excellent command of Greek and English language.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office software programmes.
• Ability to show effective leadership.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within diverse teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
