Company description
On behalf of our client, an elegant opulent luxury hotel, we are seeking to recruit a high caliber and experienced candidate for the position of Catering Manager, to be based at our client's premises in Paphos.

Job Duties
Reporting to the Hotel’s General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overseeing the day-to-day catering operations. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Increase sales of the memberships and products.
  • Gather customer requirements.
  • Plan food and beverage menus considering clients’ preferences and special requests.
  • Maintain consistency of service by being aware of and prepared for all course events, large parties and reservations that may affect food and beverage service operations.
  • Determine requirements in ingredients and set portions.
  • Coordinate staffing levels for each event, including hiring, training, and supervising event staff.
  • Implement effective communication strategies to address any issues that may arise during events.
  • Oversee food preparation and customer service.
  • Report on expenses.
  • Manage stock and place orders as needed.
  • Negotiate supplier arrangements for food and beverage products.
  • Negotiate with clients for use of facilities for parties, banquets, etc.
  • Adhere to food, health & safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity.
  • Arrange food tastings with potential customers.
  • Maintain the best and high-quality service.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Hotel/Hospitality/Leisure Management or related field. Certification in culinary management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as Catering Manager or similar position
  • Proven experience with creating menus from scratch
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene principals
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages. Any other languages will be considered as an advantage
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office
