CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests, including the provision of Cyber Security & Data Analytics solutions to global clientele, we are seeking to recruit a Payments Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You will work closely with the Finance team to maintain efficient payment processes, mitigate risks, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. You should be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another closely related field, and will need to possess proven experience in a relevant role. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute daily payment activities, including processing invoices, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Ensure all payments comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized payment records, both physical and electronic, for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and financial institutions to resolve payment-related queries and discrepancies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with payments, working proactively to prevent errors and fraud.
- Continuously evaluate and improve payment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Generate and analyse payment-related reports for management review and decision-making.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Payments Officer, Accountant, or other similar position is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of specific industry software/tools will be considered an advantage.
