Role and Responsibilities: Your role will be as a consultant in our Insolvency and Asset Recovery team, working closely with the team on Insolvency and Asset Recovery matters, such as liquidations and investigations. You will develop a general understanding of insolvency procedures both onshore and offshore working on cross border insolvency and investigation cases.
You will:
- Work on various matters and be involved in general case work administration.
- Analyse bank statements and other primary sources of information using basic excel and creating accurate file notes of your findings and conclusions.
- Undertake take-on procedures.
- Prepares draft emails and letters to relevant stakeholders, taking phone calls and occasionally traveling to/from Grant Thornton offices and client premises.
- Preparation and filing of statutory documents on appointment and throughout the case, including statutory reporting.
- Develops an understanding of our insolvency system, for cash book and record book entries.
- Prepares receipts and payments accounts and maintains clear and up to date cash books and if appropriate prepares Estimated Outcome Statements.
- Maintains well organised paper and electronic filing.
- Processes unsecured creditor claims
- Provides input in the preparation of VAT returns.

Skills/ Requirements:
- Academic/professional qualifications or equivalent will be considered a plus.
- A positive can-do attitude with a growth mindset striving for developing self and others.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with high quality results.
- Team player and flexible to work on various types of assignments both independently and in a team.
- Fluency in Greek and English. Russian language will be considered an advantage.
- IT literate with sound knowledge and experience of MS Office.
