Please note that this is a contractor position.
Your role at Exness:
The main responsibility of the role is to manage the company gym and sport clubs. This includes the day-to-day operations of the gym (managing trainers, classes, programming, equipment and gym providers), and the general management of the sport clubs (supervision, planning, budgeting etc.).
The objective of the role is also to develop new sport and wellbeing initiatives, projects and events, and manage such activities, whether regularly recurring activities (such as arranging team sport courts and tournaments), or special events (yearly sport days etc). Events may be performed with the help of the internal trainers and event personnel, or by external event companies.
The overarching purpose is to introduce and maintain employees and their families in a healthy lifestyle, to support cross-department and cross-demographic team building, and to provide a refuge from the pressures at work. To achieve this you will continue to build on the existing sport and gym community and take it to the next level.
The role shall promote a broad approach to health and provide different training alternatives to employees in order to improve their physical and psychological well being, considering at all times the multitude of nationalities, age groups, and individual preferences of the employees. In addition, the role shall actively promote the company culture principles and aim to work as an integrator of the employees.
While the role requires a keen interest and robust experience in sport and wellbeing, the main competence we are looking for is strong management skills in the areas above.
The role reports to the Head of the Community Department.
You will:
- Run gym operations in Cyprus, including managing the trainers (8 contractors), assigning trainers to gym classes depending on demand, trainer availability, trainer competence and overall efficiency goals
- Maintain existing gym equipment and manage vendors in relation to this
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Promote a culture of safety and injury prevention
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and on budget
- Promote spouses and family activation in sport, wellbeing and health initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Manage internal communication of the sport, wellbeing and health activities (with the help of the internal comms and employer branding teams)
- Managing research and negotiation with local vendors in relation to sport, wellbeing and health projects and events
- Ideation, improvement and implementation of tools to help provide the above, including the booking and scheduling system
- Attend the main events in person, and help organizing them on the ground, also during non-office hours
- Evaluation of the gym operations and other events
What makes you a great fit:
- At least five years experience as a Sports / Gym Manager (or similar)
- Ability to work as a Sports or Gym Manager within different corporate environments and add value
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
- A passion for sport, health and wellbeing

- Fluent in English and ability to use advanced English for teaching and business purposes
- Ability to invoice your services to a Cyprus company (the role will allow for other limited third party commitments like personal training etc.)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a gym setting
Nice to have:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in Sport or Business Administration
- International experience
- CPR and First Aid certification
