CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of Professional Services, with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a number of Risk Modelling Consultants to join their growing Team based in Nicosia. The successful applicants will primarily be responsible for managing the delivery of projects with a primary focus on financial and risk modelling and data analysis. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Risk, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other closely related fields, who possess up to 6 years of experience using statistical and risk modelling techniques, particularly in financial sector entities. Good working knowledge of Python, R and/or SAS is essential for this role. Any experience in data collection, preparation and cleansing with the use of specialised tools to enable modelling and/or data analysis will be considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of projects with a primary focus on financial and risk modelling and data analysis.
- Manage the delivery of projects in the areas of qualitative and quantitative risk management, including credit risk, capital adequacy and liquidity management.
- Develop new risk models to help the clients to improve risk management and to satisfy regulatory requirement.
- Be responsible for compiling and documenting modelling and analytical results in an organised way.
- Lead data collection, preparation and cleansing with the use of specialised tools to enable modelling and/or data analysis.
- Participate in the delivery of proposals for clients.
- Be responsible for leading and developing junior team members through on the job coaching and acting as a career coach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients.
- Work and liaise with other members of the team and colleagues in other parts of the organisation as necessary to provide high quality client service.
- Stay updated with industry trends, and best practices in financial and risk modelling.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Risk, Finance, Economics, Mathematics / Statistics, Engineering or in a related field.
- Up to 6 years of experience using statistical and risk modelling techniques, particularly in financial sector entities.
- Exposure in the areas of risk management, quantitative risk management and financial modelling.
- Good working knowledge of Python, R and/or SAS.
- Experience in data collection, preparation and cleansing with the use of specialised tools to enable modelling and / or data analysis will be considered an advantage.
- The ability to manage and develop client relationships and also influence senior stakeholders and peers alike.
- Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast paced dynamic environment, with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver results.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Confident, articulate and able to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.
