THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a global multi-energy Company that produces and markets energies (i.e. Oil and Gas exploration, natural gas, renewables and electricity), we seek to recruit an energetic and high calibre professional for the position of Joint Venture and Stakeholders Relations Manager, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Joint Venture (JV) aspects with the objective to safeguard the Company’s interests in application of patrimonial contracts and agreements with Authorities and JV agreements with partners.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

  • Contribute to the formulation of the departmental strategy in alignment with the Company's strategy, and support its implementation

  • Establish relationships and maintain continuous contact with Authorities and JV partners; responsible for the JV’s contractual obligations and ensure all parties in the JV comply with the Agreement(s)

  • Ensure the JV decision making process among partners and Authorities is in respect of the effective application of the patrimonial contracts

  • Organize, coordinate and participate in meeting with Authorities, JV committees, including sub-committees and decision committees

  • Ensure the full implementation of the decisions made by the JV Management Committees

  • Ensure communication and coordination of JV matters across all functions within the subsidiary and Headquarters

  • Ensure the proper preparation and coordination of JV audits, by partners or Authorities, as well as the follow-up and settlement of any exceptions made

  • Coordinate the submission of the Work Programs and Budgets (WPBs), Annual Reports to the partners and the Authorities

  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the government engagement strategy by actively preparing for and participating in various negotiations

  • Communicate with and influence stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

  • Draft insightful and persuasive correspondence and papers for both internal and external stakeholders, including Authorities

  • Conduct research on renewable regulation and monitor the evolution of the industry in Cyprus

  • Participate in negotiations for the acquisition and development of renewable energy projects in Cyprus

  • Identify and share insights with the Managing Director regarding governance, political, geopolitical, and policy trends in Cyprus and the region

  • Enable the Company to anticipate risks and opportunities

  • Monitor competitors’ activities and industry trends and share relevant information

  • Ensure the Company’s interests are protected in all dealings with Authorities and partners

  • Act as the liaison and maintain constructive relationships with both internal and external partners

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Oil and Gas or in any other related field

  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be considered as an advantage

  • Minimum of five (5) of experience in the upstream oil & gas, electric power, renewable energy sector or other related field

  • Experience in Joint Venture management, operations, contractual and commercial negotiations

  • An active network within the industry of Oil and Gas is necessary

  • Good working knowledge of the local environment

  • Good understanding of the Oil and Gas and renewable energy industry in Cyprus

  • Experience of working in an international dynamic team

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead/conduct meetings

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Ability to influence, negotiate, listen, convince, coordinate and facilitate

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships

  • Excellent coordination skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language, both written and verbal

  • Excellent computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills (including exposure with computerized accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel)
