Position: Internal Accountant
Location: Nicosia - Onsite
Job Type: Full-Time
Company Overview: Our client is a Financial Services group with a vision focused on creating, protecting and growing the wealth of their trusted partners in Europe, CIS Countries, Middle East and the UK. They are now seeking to recruit a Full-time Internal Accountant to join their professional team at their office in Nicosia.
Duties:
Compiling Group VAT workings and preparing the VAT returns for submission.
Maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers for submissions and payments.
Preparing payments and overseeing the process to make sure that all payments have been executed.
Handling the day-to-day accounting operations of companies including cashflow and credit control.
Handling the Group Monthly payroll and Social Insurances procedures.
Preparation and review of the annual financial statements, management accounts and Group Audits.
Preparation and review of periodic regulatory reporting to the local regulators.
Working closely with external parties such as auditors, Banks, and tax advisors.
Performing any accounting or financial task and Internal Projects as assigned.
Responsible for the Company’s Billing Software -Profit Maker.
Responsible for reviewing and reporting of the Time Sheets of the Group Profit Maker.
Preparing Billing Reports for all Clients.
Responsible for the monthly Invoicing and Credit Control of the Group.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
At least 2-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.
Holder or partial holder of ACCA or other similar qualification.
Any background accounting in the Corporate Sector.
Ability to interpret and analyse Financial Statements and Periodicals.
Excellent Knowledge of accounting Software Programs such as: Sage, CaseWare, Profit Maker.
Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications and Excel.
Excellent command of the Greek and English language.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, to learn and adapt.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Well presented, trustworthy and punctual.
Able to think outside the box with a high element of pro-activeness.
