Job Title: Rooms division manager / Front of house manager
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Job Description:
- The Rooms Division Manager leads the Front Office department and Housekeeping. He/she manages the general operation of the Front Office including Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Switchboard, Night Management, and the coordination and supervision of the housekeeping department.
- In addition, the RDM sets the standard conveyed by hotel FOH, the appearance, conduct, and daily work of the hotel in Front of House Departments. Securing the well-being of the guests, and the service standard.
Duties and responsibilities:
- The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for the accommodation departments with a focus on reception, additionally the RDM ensures smooth processes and high compliance in terms of guest relations, housekeeping, sales, and reservation standards.
- The RDM leads the deployment of personnel and needs to ensure there are sufficient trained professional team members to guarantee guests’ satisfaction and service standards.
- The RDM Trains the staff to handle multiple scripts and scenarios involving routine and special occasions. Including resolving problems, and incidents, and special attention to guests, such as business segments, and celebrities. Handicap and regular FIT.
- Other spheres of responsibility include planning of budget, manpower, strong cooperation with the sales department, HK department, concierge resources and service, organization of department training, coordination of the service and vacation planning, and monitoring the work of service personnel, hotel security, quality assurance, and compliance in terms of special guidelines and hiring new employees.
Requirements and skills:
- The requirements to be a Rooms Division Manager are completed training in the hotel industry (this may also be a hotel management school degree), several years of professional experience in any front office area, and good foreign language(s) skills- English language (MUST), Any additional language, an advantage. In addition, very good manners are assumed.
- International experience and good IT knowledge are desirable, as well as the ability to work with several programs as well as prepare budgets and schedules. Multitask and maintain its focus in a highspeed environment. Hospitable, well-articulated, good organizational skills, friendliness, and competence are necessary in this industry.
- The RDM and the front-of-house teams are the ambassadors representing the hotel.
- The ability to work in a team and characteristics like flexibility and steadiness are indispensable. In addition, in this position and job, good assertiveness is very important, because giving tasks and instructions requires reliable implementation to maintain an overview of the processes.
Full-time long-term position, located in Limassol, Cyprus.
