Position: Associate | Commercial Law

Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC, member of the Deloitte Legal network, is expanding and seeking to recruit a dynamic and high calibre professional to join the Commercial Law team, as an Associate, based at our Nicosia office.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, among others:

• Assisting in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
• Providing legal guidance and advice on employment matters, including but not limited to employment contracts, workplace policies, termination issues, discrimination and harassment claims
• Assisting in matters relating to data protection and privacy laws, including, among others, reviewing data processing agreements, conducting privacy impact and legitimate interest assessments, and advising on data breach response and data subject rights’ procedures
• Conducting legal research, analysing case law, and providing legal opinions on commercial matters

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or an equivalent University Law degree
• Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) desirable but not mandatory
• Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
• 2-3 years of prior experience practising commercial law
• Previous experience in employment law or data protection and privacy desirable but not mandatory
• Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
• Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both verbal and written
