The Client:
Our client OPAP, a leading gaming company in Greece and Cyprus and one of the most renowned in its industry worldwide is expanding its operations in Cyprus and is looking to recruit an Area Sales Officer.
The Position:
The Area Sales Officer will be a part of the Commercial team and will report to the Retail Network & Trade Manager. The position's basic vision is to achieve the sales targets at the assigned area for OPAP Stores, through the motivation and engagement of the agents / partners, the provision of administrative support and the promotion of OPAP products, interests, and operating standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implements the approved sales plan focusing on increasing OPAP stores’ profitability and customer experience
Builds and maintains fruitful relationship with store agents / partners and provides guidance and support for the resolution of store operation issues and customer service management
Conducts visits to stores according to plan and support the agents / partners regarding the alignment with OPAP’s processes, commercial policy, regulatory and operational standards, and Responsible Gaming
Handles the execution of the in-store marketing, merchandising, product roll out activities
Supports the negotiations with current or potential agents / partners for the achievement of commercial agreements
Provides training and support to agents
Supports and coaches partners towards the development of their strategic thinking, having as a target, partners to be more engaged to our strategy and contribute to the business development
Participates in the identification locations for the expansion and / or optimization of the network for stores
Ensures the design and delivery of merchandising / in store activations for the promotion of products in alignment with product guidelines
Provides customer service, problem solving and support when required
Responds to ad-hoc assignments to meet business needs that are not specifically or previously described and are related to the content of current job and the personal skills and capabilities
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or any other relevant field
Hands-on experience in B2B sales in companies with large retail network (e.g. Retail, Telecoms, Banking, FMCG)
5+ years of relevant experience are required
Very good knowledge of store operations
Hands-on experience in retail account management
Very good numerical skills, analytical and strategic thinking
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong achievement and results oriented mentality
Problem solving skills & attention to detail
Impact and persuasion
Performance Management and financial planning capabilities
Innovation and Improvement
Fluent in Greek, English
Excellent MS Office knowledge
Location:
The position is for the OPAP's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
