CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a CySEC regulated Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their growing finance team based in Nicosia. As a Finance Assistant your will work in the Business-to-Business division performing purchase invoice and general ledger bookings for B2B group entities. You will ideally hold at least the LCCI Higher qualification or another relevant accounting qualification/certification and possess approximately 3 years of similar experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must, and knowledge of accounting systems with SAP experience and an advanced level of Excel is essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Performing purchase invoice and general ledger bookings for B2B group entities.
  • Validating bi-monthly payment run for vendor invoices and booking bank transactions to general ledger.
  • Performing daily reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts for group entities.
  • Maintaining schedules including accruals, prepayments, Intercompany reconciliations, and Fixed Assets register.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager with implementation of SAP Concur, to ensure streamlined integration with the SAP accounting platform.
  • Preparing the Accounts Payable Exception reporting, following the successful implementation of SAP Concur project.
  • Contributing to the automation of accounting processes.
  • Complying with internal company policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking any other related and administrative tasks assigned by management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Holder of LCCI Higher or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, with Proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Experience with controls implementation and/or system change.
