The FinanceTeam of Risk Advisory is looking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager, with expertise in tax management and compliance, to join us at the level of Manager, based in our Nicosia Office.

The Tax Manager Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations in the Middle East and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a similar tax management software. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, managing tax-related matters for our clients and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, among other:
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in the Middle East. Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and guidelines, and proactively communicate any potential impact on the organization.
- Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax planning strategies that optimize the organization's tax position and minimize tax liabilities. Provide guidance and recommendations to clients regarding tax-efficient structures, transactions, and investments.
- Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Conduct periodic tax risk assessments and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize exposure to tax-related risks.
- Technology and Systems: Leverage tax management software, specifically D365 or similar platforms, to streamline tax processes, improve efficiency, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools that enhance tax operations.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities and providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance and resolve any audit-related issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate tax strategies, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders, including senior management and finance teams. Provide regular updates on tax-related matters and contribute to the development of business strategies.
Requirements
- Professional Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Tax Expertise: 8-10 years’ experience in tax management, compliance, and planning, preferably within the professional services industry. In-depth knowledge of Middle East tax regulations and familiarity with tax laws in multiple jurisdictions.
- Technology Proficiency: Proven experience with tax management software, specifically D365 or similar platforms. Proficiency in using other financial systems and tools is desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex tax regulations, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical solutions.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive tax information.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Additional language skills relevant to the Middle East region will be considered an advantage.
