Transportation Planner

(Nicosia)

Role: As a Transportation Planner you will be responsible for planning, developing, evaluating, and monitoring transportation plans, programs, and projects.

What you will do:

• Use of SAP W2 operational system transactions for organizing routes for vehicles and definition of optimal loading per vehicle, entry of correct data and correction of possible mistakes in data and/or system
• Responsible for optimization of routes, optimization of loading space, coordination and scheduling of vehicle loading in SAP application Logistic execution optimizer (LEO)
• Responsible for maintenance of correct data in master data resource database in SAP W2 system
• Reviewing the needs of internal and external customers in order to increase quality of delivered service
• Optimizes routesbased on the customer's working hours, vehicle type that can approach the customer, geographic distance and availability of vehicles on a specific day, taking into account distribution cost
• Generates Daily, Weekly & Monthly reports about the achieved results
• Review and confirm Transportation costs per shipment
• Transportation Cost Calculation for created shipments
• Develops strong relations with key internal customers (sales, warehouse, finance) and externally interested parties so as to ensure optimal team results
• Control system for all transportation companies that are in accordance to law and company requirements

Required Qualifications:

• University Degree
• At least 2 years of work as dispatcher, vehicle fleet management or logistics
• Ability to use computer system SAP, is an asset
• Good Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of Cyprus network
• Fluency in English
