JOB PURPOSE:

The Group Chief Engineer develops and implements engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness and at the same time oversees the planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects within the organization, whilst delivering the highest possible standards of service, effective development, management and leadership of the company’s human resources, equipment and provisions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards, coordinating resources to ensure that all possible issues are efficiently resolved.

Ability to plan and deliver against an agreed set of targets and being pro-active in maintaining and improving profitability in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures and standards.

Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures ensuring the team achieves the objectives and tasks essentials to the efficient and effective operation.

Lead the team by attracting, recruiting, training, appraising, developing and planning succession of talented personnel; nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 8 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience and knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building, joinery, etc
• Computer literate.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with excellent organization and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. (verbal and written)
• Must speak, read, and write both Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an additional advantage.
