The Client:

Our Client, Hoist Finance,a leading Pan-European Asset Manager specialising in non-performing loans (NPLs) , is looking to recruit an Investment Analyst for its offices in Nicosia.

The Position:

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for valuation, management and delivery of investment opportunities across various Client's markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivery of accurate valuation work in a timely manner

• Demonstrate knowledge of NPL/PL markets and portfolio characteristics

• Demonstrate understanding of key business units

• Demonstrate understanding of investment and company governance

• Demonstrate proactive team work and communication across local and jurisdictional teams

• Valuation & analysis of non-performing, performing and secured loan portfolios

• Building a deep understanding of portfolios up for sale

• Preparing investment cases and presenting to the Investment Committee (for standard deals below €10m)

• Working alongside the Investment Analysis Manager on non-standard deals and those greater than €10m

• Reviewing portfolio performance and contributing in operational improvements via data analytics

• Presenting valuation and analysis to senior management

• Conducting market research

• Work with local teams to ensure integrated approach to transactions

• Achieve intermediate user level of Alteryx and SQL

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Strong degree in a mathematical/analytical related discipline or equivalent

• 2-5 years of professional experience

• Analytical experience in an investment or financial role would be viewed favourably

• Experience with loan portfolio valuation would be viewed favourably

• Knowledge of distressed debt

• Knowledge of the industry and their competitors

• Knowledge and experience in real estate will be considered an advantage

• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• A technical ability using software (SQL/R/Python or other coding languages)

• Ability to analyse and extract information from large data sets

• Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical/modelling skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders

• Able to work on own initiative and confident to take responsibility

• Fluency in English (other European languages an advantage)

Location:

The position is for the Client's Offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
