CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Technology Group based in Cyprus providing powerful CRM technologies primarily to the Casino and iGaming industries, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Specialist to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including performing regular reconciliations, preparing and submitting VAT returns, as well as generating and issuing invoices to clients. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, who possess proven experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. You will need to be proficient with MS Office, including Excel, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, and ensure proper classification of transactions.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and keeping abreast of any changes in tax legislation.
  • Generate and issue invoices to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing in accordance with contract terms and company policies.
  • Process payments to vendors and suppliers, manage payroll, and handle other financial transactions, ensuring all payments are made on time and recorded accurately.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide a clear overview of the company's financial position.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitor spending against the budget, and report on variances to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation, and present findings to Management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits, and implement best practices in financial management.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with audit requirements.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
