Magnum Grail is looking for a highly experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team in Limassol. This role is perfect for a front-end development expert with extensive experience in deploying and maintaining robust web applications. As part of our innovative Agile Fusion Units approach, you will work closely with two other senior engineers, fostering a highly efficient and cohesive working environment. We are looking for a candidate who can start in September 2024, working full-time in our office with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and modern JavaScript
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of web applications
• Write HTML and CSS from scratch based on given UI mockups
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Integrate and maintain existing APIs and assist in the design of new ones as necessary.
• Deploy and manage code into production environments
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues promptly

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Strong skills in writing HTML and CSS from scratch based on UI mockups
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and familiarity with GraphQL
• Solid understanding of front-end architecture and best practices
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proven experience in taking web applications to production and managing the deployment process
• Ability to work in an agile development environment

Required Qualifications

• Highly experienced, 10+ years preferred
• Proven experience of getting web applications into production and managing the deployment process
• Experience and ability to work in an agile development environment
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
• English proficiency at C1 level, with certification such as IELTS or equivalent (even if expired)

Additional Skills (optional)

• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of advanced database technologies (e.g., NoSQL) is optional
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to apply mathematical concepts to solve complex problems
• Understanding of financial technology (fintech) industry trends and regulations
