On behalf of our client, we are seeking for a dynamic and results driven Commercial Manager for Sponsorships to join our team. This role is critical to the growth and sustainability of both our men and womens teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial revenue, managing key partnerships, and ensuring that the clubs sponsorship goals are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation:
Own, drive, and deliver results for assigned categories, ensuring consistent achievement of commercial revenue targets.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and consistently forecast deal delivery for the current and upcoming seasons.
- Deal Negotiation and Closure:
Lead or assist in closing key partner negotiations, providing necessary commercial, product, and legal information. - Conduct due diligence to ensure the viability of all deals.
- Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain trust and respect with key internal stakeholders, including Finance and Legal teams. - Collaborate with commercial partners and other functions within the club to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Reporting and Data Analysis:
Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to gather data and insights for informed decision-making. - Deliver consistent and relevant reporting, adhering to company policies and processes.
- Team Engagement:
Lead or assist in commercial negotiations for international tours and friendlies, working closely with the team and other club functions. - Partnership Development:
Manage and develop partnership proposals in line with the clubs international strategy. - Innovate with ad-hoc brand-building partnerships to enhance the club's market presence.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:
- Understanding of a typical sales process from research to deal closure.
- Proven ability to generate sales leads and engage prospects effectively.
- Experience in building and delivering sales presentations to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including new business sales, partnership renewals, and sales strategy development.
- Proven track record in successful account management or new business generation.
- Higher education degree or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Understanding of sport sponsorship sales processes, especially within football.
- Knowledge of the Cyprus League and top European football sponsorship landscapes.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and sales management systems.
