CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a specialist Research & Development company with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior IT Technician to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior IT Technician, you will play a key role providing first-level technical support for end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another relevant field, who possess a minimum of 1+ year of relevant professional experience. You will need to have sound knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as basic knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2012), Active Directory, and Hyper-V. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Provide first-level technical support for end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain the Microsoft-based IT infrastructure across the organization, ensuring seamless operation and security.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic server-related issues, contributing to server uptime and stability.
• Perform routine audits of systems and maintain accurate inventory and documentation of server systems and IT infrastructure.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Proficient in Windows client operating systems and associated hardware.
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server (2008/2012), Active Directory, and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Office 365 solutions and their implementation.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and related technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• MCSA, MCITP, or other relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with Linux operating systems is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required; proficiency in Greek is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible attitude with the ability to perform well under pressure.
