CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licenced by the Central Bank of Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Developer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, or another closely related field, who possess approximately 4+ years of relevant professional experience. You will need to have strong knowledge of coding languages including C#, VB.NET and VB6, and be comfortable working with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Implement new features and maintain existing ones.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the software.
• Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
• Debug and resolve software issues and bugs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software solutions.
• Document code, design decisions, and system architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
• Approximately 4+ years of relevant experience as a Software Developer.
• Excellent knowledge of coding languages (e.g. VB6, VB.NET, C#) and frameworks/systems (VS 2019 or above).
• In-depth understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and Web API design for extensibility and portability (Rest API/Web API).
• Good experience with SQL Server Databases.
• Transaction SQL (TSQL) knowledge.
• Comfortable writing and analysing SQL queries.
• Experience with Crystal reports design and development.
• Experience in Web Development mainly using technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Problem solving and logical thinking.
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting live applications.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• English proficiency is required.
