We are looking to recruit an experienced Manager for our ESG Assurance team in Nicosia. As a Manager in the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Sustainability Services within the Audit & Assurance Department, you will lead and manage projects related to sustainability and ESG assurance. Your responsibilities will include providing expert inside on ESG matters, conducting sustainability reporting reviews and ensuring compliance with relevant ESG frameworks and standards. You will work closely with clients to help them navigate the complexities of ESG reporting and integrate sustainability provisions into their business operations.
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will provide assurance (ISAE 3000/ISSA 5000) over non-financial information, specifically focusing on ESG assurance. You will stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and expectations in the ESG field, including CSRD and Taxonomy. You will participate in multi-industry projects with regional and global reach, where you will develop new business opportunities in Sustainability/ESG Reporting on reviewing non-financial reports and ensuring compliance with new reporting directives and regulations such as CSRD and the EU Taxonomy. Additionally, you will manage local project teams and participate in KPMG’s global knowledge network, assets and solutions. You will also tackle other challenges, including the following:
- Managing and delivering ESG and sustainability assurance projects
- Coordinating the central ESG assurance team in terms project management and training
- Providing clients with insights on ESG trends and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with ESG reporting standards and frameworks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support clients in achieving their sustainability goals.
- People management (incl. coaching/training other colleagues)
- Business development (including supporting the implementation of our collective ESG strategy)
The Individual:
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in the field of professional services
- Minimum 3 years of working experience specifically on Sustainability and ESG topics
- Relevant experience in sustainability reporting with a proven track record in Sustainability Reporting Frameworks (e.g. CSRD, GRI, TCFD, NFRD) will be considered as an advantage
- Excellent academic background including a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, ranging from sustainability related studies will be considered an advantage
- Qualification/Certification in Environmental Management, Sustainability or other related subject will be considered an advantage.
- Accounting professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) will be considered an advantage.
- Up to date knowledge of the EU regulatory requirements such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy and SFDR.
- Past experience in managing audit/assurance projects will be considered an advantage.
- Ability and comfort in researching and resolving emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies.
- Advanced project management skills and proven experience in managing demanding projects
- Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Greek and English (both in relation to technical and non-technical issues)
