Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client, a CySEC licensed financial services company in Nicosia, have an excellent opportunity for a Back Office Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling payments such as deposits/withdrawals, data entry and data verification, enabling or disabling trading accounts, reconciliations, and other miscellaneous tasks. Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day processing of deposits and withdrawals requests, including liaising with any required department of the company
  • Preparation and communication with Customer Service regarding correctly completed Credit Card declarations and Withdrawal Instructions required to process withdrawals
  • Preparation of account statements that shall need to be shared with clients upon their request
  • Reconciling daily and monthly activity, generating reports as and when required by the Head of Backoffice and the company’s internal Accountant
  • Implement the company’s procedures and processes for the prevention of Money Laundering (ML) and Terrorist financing (TF
  • Adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures when assessing prospective client applications for the opening of a trading account
  • Attend training seminars and have an interest in developing relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Report any cases of unusual or suspicious transactions that are inconsistent with the economic profile of the Client and transactions which, as of their nature, may be associated with money laundering or terrorist financing.
  • Inform the Head of Backoffice of any third-party deposits brought to their attention.
  • Inform the AMLCO on outstanding KYC documents or POF documents required for client files
  • Liaise with and carry out communication in relation to opted chargeback disputes
  • Respond to and follow-up withdrawal and deposit enquiries received by clients

Requirements

  • At least 1 year work experience in back office
  • Holder of CySEC advanced or AML certificate will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high fluency in English
  • Strong sense of professionalism, organization and analytical skills
  • Self-learner and highly motivated individual
  • Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Attention to detail and procedures
  • Professionalism, Integrity and trustworthiness.
