bbf: is one of the leading and fastest growing companies in the property market in Cyprus and Greece, offering its clients such services, as property sales, rentals, management, construction, and other related services. Currently, bbf: is looking to expand its internal staff and is seeking for a Cost Control Manager in Limassol.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to project cost standards, processes, and procedures across all projects.
- Set up and maintain cost reports, ensuring consistent reporting across a portfolio of projects, considering both Capex and Opex costs.
- Analyze and integrate cost estimates and forecasts provided by contractors and suppliers to support the cost estimation process.
- Review, document, and communicate cost impacts of changes and integrate them into project control budgets and forecasts.
- Identify and manage cost variances to approved budgets through the Change Management Process, and assess risks accordingly.
- Ensure that project cost reports reflect the correct value for approved changes and that forecasts incorporate all approved modifications.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain comprehensive Monthly Project Cost Reports.
- Collaborate with department heads to maximize project profitability.
- Provide critical assessments of budgets and cost projections, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Evaluate incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best value for money.
- Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs.
- Provide cost planning and control support for all projects.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of cost drivers and their interdependencies.
- Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives, ensuring timelines and assessment goals are met.
Requirements for the position:
- Professional degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Economics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in cost control, ideally within the construction industry.
- Management experience is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes and cost management strategies.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to present concepts concisely and accurately.
- Solid networking, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to generate and interpret budgets and cost reports.
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to develop cooperative relationships with department heads.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with a focus on maximizing efficiency without compromising quality.
- Fluency in English and Greek (spoken and written) is essential.
