LA Mer Homes is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Pools Department to be a part of our growing Company. Our organizational culture is embedded in our work ethic, our integrity, transparency and values for our team, customers and the environment.

The general responsibilities to the position are as follows, but are not limited to:

  1. To be responsible for the Company’s agreed swimming pool contracts;
  2. To make a report at the beginning of the season for each; to include current conditions; steps; liners; tiling; pool lights; overall condition to keep the pools in best manner for the new season.
  3. To be responsible and to co-ordinate; oversee anything necessary for the correct presentation, upkeep; repair and maintenance of any pool.
  4. To be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of all agreed pools; to provide the correct cleaning services twice weekly for each pool during summer months (May – October) and one time weekly during winter months (November – April).
  5. To return to any pool during the season if there is a complaint by a guest due to the cleanliness of the pool.
  6. To ensure the Company is purchasing the best quality and priced chemicals, supplies for the up keep, maintenance of the pools. To keep clear up to date records to show the usage of products.
  7. To report any repairs or extras that are required for any contracted pool to the Property Manager and to obtain approval from the owner before proceeding.
  8. Follow safety rules according to the equipment’s guide use
  9. To know and be able to use company’s tools, tablets and other software needed to complete tasks and invoices.
  10. To provide and update a pool cleaning schedule.
  11. To support the Manager, the pool cleaning team, the Company at all times during working hours and to ensure the Companies pool cleaning schedules, procedures and services are being completed correctly on a daily basis
  12. To be responsible at all times and ensure that any pool clean provided has been done correctly following the Company’s procedures and ensuring the correct standards are achieved
  13. To report any issues with any pool that may arise while conducting their regular duties to the Manager.
  14. To liaise with outside Contractors regarding pool’s maintenance.
  15. To advise the Company with any legislative changes and/or updates.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Time management
  • Act fast under pressure
  • Able to handle a small team of 2-4 people
  • Technology oriented - easy to adapt to systems
  • CPO certification will be considered as major advantage
