CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Auditor (ACCA Trainee) to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Auditor you will assist on assigned segments of an audit, , and complete the audit of a dormant company with supervision from a Senior Associate. The successful applicant should hold a relevant academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field and have ideally commenced the ACA/ACCA qualification, or at least be willing to do so. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must, and knowledge of any other language will be considered an advantage. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is available, which includes a 13th Salary, Medical Insurance, Provident Fund and Friday afternoon’s off.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Assist on assigned segments of an audit.
• Prepare acceptable working papers that record and summarize findings on the assigned audit segment.
• Complete the audit of a dormant company with supervision from a Senior Associate.
• Vouch / Trace invoices to and from ledger.
• Prepare confirmation letter for closing balances.
• Check bank reconciliations.
• Prepare draft financial statements.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree Graduate in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar with solid grades (2:1 or 7/10 or 3.5/4).
• ACCA student, or willing to commence the qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
• Very good use of MS Outlook, including Word and Excel.
• Enthusiastic team player.
• Highly organized individual who is willing to multitask and work in a challenging work environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
