On behalf of our client, a pioneer company in providing logistics services to the market of Cyprus we are seeking to recruit an accountant officer.

Job Description and Duties:

  • Balancing the general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries on a monthly basis
  • Reconciling balances with banks
  • Reviewing invoices, paying suppliers, keeping records up to date, filing
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT legislation, inland tax authorities and social security requirements by studying requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
  • Overseeing the Company’s payroll, liaising with HR and external providers, making payments
  • Managing payment orders in the accounting system
  • Maintaining records/filing documents
  • Seeking ways to improve processes
  • Contributing actively to the Finance team, assisting others as required
  • Preparing of Management reports and necessary documentation for the annual audit
  • Internal Audits and pricing
  • Yearly Budgets|entries from subsidiary ledgers & systems

Candidate profile:

  • Minimum 2 years in an accounting department and general accounting experience
  • AAT or LCCI Higher is required
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas and formatting
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of bookkeeping systems
  • Understanding of payroll computation and VAT submissions is a must
  • Previous experience with Forwarding companies is highly favorable
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
