CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading adult entertainment social media web application with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Accountant you will provide crucial support the accounting department by performing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field, who ideally possess some experience in a similar role, although training will be provided. You will need to be proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel, and enjoy working with numbers. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Review financial records as assigned and perform vouching and reconciliations.
• Assist senior accountants with the preparation of weekly/monthly account closings.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Assist with other day-to-day accounting needs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience as a junior accountant or in a similar role (no significant experience is needed). 
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good with numbers and figures - analytical acumen.
• Experienced user of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
