CORE JOB INFORMATION
Department : Front Office
Working hours : Full time – 38 hours per week – 5 days per week
Position reports to : Reservation Supervisor
PROFILE
The Reservations Officer will be responsible for handling reservations, inquiries and cancellations, respon-ding to communications from guests and clients, and creating/maintaining reservation records, by ensuring product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided at all times.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls; answer all guest inquiries; respond to their needs and requests,
- Book all kind of room/groups/VIPs reservations while focusing on maximising room revenue and average room rate; block rooms using Hotel standards; send confirmations,
- Enter reservations into the system; maintain accurate files, contracts, reports,
- Process advance deposit/balance sheet,
- Maintain availability calendar and communicate all relevant information to the operations staff, wholesalers and other agents,
- Communicate and work closely with sales related employees concerning bookings,
- Be able to assist at the front desk as needed,
- Assist superiors with statistics and reports,
- Train and coach team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills,
- Build strong relationships with all other department's especially front desk, concierge, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school graduate or equivalent,
- Minimum 4 years of hotel front-desk experience or related field is desirable,
- Must possess excellent telephone skills,
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, as well as verbal and written communication skills,
- Must speak, read, and write both English and Greek; knowledge of additional languages (Russian, etc) will be considered an advantage,
- Excellent computer skills; excellent knowledge of Fidelio and Microsoft Office,
- Strong organisational and administration skills with close attention to detail.
