CareerFinders, on behalf of our client one of Cyprus’ leading providers of Corporate & Fiduciary Services, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in the heart of Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information, as well as the preparation and updating of daily transactions. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess a minimum of 1+ year of relevant professional experience gained working in the professional services sector. Candidates who are working towards the ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply, and excellent communication skills in English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information.
• Preparation and updating of daily transactions.
• Perform reconciliations of control accounts including bank, debtor, and creditor accounts.
• Prepare reports and analysis within agreed deadlines.
• Liaise with auditors to provide appropriate documentation and information as requested to complete external audits.
• Provide assistance with various analysis and special projects as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is desirable.
• Applicants studying towards the ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role in a professional services firm is a must.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with an accounting software will be considered an advantage. 
• Fluent in English.
