Position: Cloud Engineer | Enterprise Technology and Performance

The Entrprise Technology and Performance team of our Consulting practice is rapidly expanding and seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to join the team as Cloud Engineer, at the level of Senior Consultantto Manager, in our Nicosia Office.

In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in helping clients navigate the end to end journey for cloud infrastructure and engineering, including:

• Defining and delivering a Cloud Strategy and Operating Model that aligns to and underpins business, technology and/or digital strategies
• Developing the Business Case for investment in cloud
• Selecting the right products and services for a solution
• Leading stand up meetings
• Architecting and delivering on the platform
• Understanding the leading cloud technologies and the key cloud challenges 
• Providing an authoritative point of view on how cloud influences and enables emerging technology trends
• Growing relationships, experience, practice and maintaining our position as market leaders with key integration vendors such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree from a reputable University
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
• Experience of working across project lifecycles – from scoping and analysis, design and testing and through to post go live support
• Previous experience in cloud architecture & engineering such as
  • Cloud technologies and services (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
  • Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Rocket) and their associated orchestration engines (Kubernetes / OpenShift / Rancher / Swarm)
  • Infrastructure as code development (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM, GCP CDM)
  • Running and using Cloud automation tooling including Continuous Integration & Deployment
  • DevOps philosophies and toolchains such as continuous integration and delivery
  • Linux and windows system implementation and management using automation frame works such as Ansible, Salt Stack, Puppet, PowerShell etc.
  • Application deployment and testing tool chains such as Jenkins, SVN, GitHub
• A professional certificate in Cloud Technologies
• End to end Management of technology transformation projects (preparation of project plans, effective project monitoring)
• Previous experience in setting up Controls and Governance for the successful adoption of Cloud technologies
• Previous experience in dealing with Cloud Financials, estimating cost of Cloud technologies, calculating Total Cost of Ownership and business case documentation
• Previous experience in setting up Cloud Platforms with a vendor agnostic approach
• Possess good problem solving and analytical skills
• Manage stakeholders using clear communications and be able to form strong client relationships.
• Work effectively within an inclusive team and actively support the development of individuals and teams, both formally and informally
• Ability to communicate complex / technical issues to non-technical audiences
