Position: Assurance Consultants | Assurance Department
We are seeking to recruit a team of dynamic and high calibre professionals to join the Assurance Department at the levels of Assistant Consultant 1 and Assistant Consultant 2, in our Limassol or Nicosia office.

The Team
Our Assurance team, which consists of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds ranging from ACA/ACCA qualified members, CFA candidates to mathematicians and statisticians, provides among others, the following services:

Accounting and advisory support
-
IFRS 9 advisory support both for Banking and Corporate clients

Credit risk model validation services
-
Development of accelerator tools using data analytics
The Role
The successful candidates’ key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Participating in large Assurance engagements in Cyprus and the Middle Eastern region, mainly within the financial services industry, both onsite and remotely
-
Supporting Deloitte’s external audit teams on IFRS 9 reviews through challenging our clients’ methodological approaches and quality of implementation
-
Replicating/re-building statistical models with the use of raw data and assessing model outputs
-
Providing credit measurement modelling and analytics services to clients either by building new models or improving/reviewing existing ones
-
Supporting other assurance-related projects such as: validation of credit risk models, IFRS transformations, and accounting & reporting advisory engagements
-
Developing solutions and recommendations, summarizing findings, drafting reports and presenting results to clients
-
Helping clients with designing and improving their wider credit measurement ecosystems; for example, practices around data, controls, model risk management, model monitoring, and maintenance and reporting

Supporting the senior management of the team in developing and winning new business, including assisting with proposal development
Requirements
-
Undergraduate degree from a reputable university in Mathematics, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Operational Research, Data Science, Data Analytics or any other related discipline

Professional qualifications (such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) will be considered an advantage
-
Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-expert audiences

Knowledge of modelling software such as SAS, SQL, Python, R will be considered an advantage

Experience with data visualisation

Excellent analytical and reporting skills
-
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel (including VBA), Power Point
-
Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
