The team
We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to join us and be part of our Tax Reporting and Strategy Services - VAT Compliance team.
You will have the opportunity to work both on local and international projects, collaborate closely with colleagues from the wider PwC network and clients from all over the world! You will become trained by experts in the VAT field, gain exposure to advanced technology and a wide range of development opportunities.
We will make sure you obtain in-depth knowledge of our cutting edge methodologies and available technology and provide you with ongoing coaching and support to continually strengthen your acquired skills.
Main responsibilities
- Participate in delivering VAT compliance projects for local and international clients
- Prepare VAT/ESL/Intrastat returns
- Communicate with other service lines when needed and attend meetings/calls with team members and/or clients to gather necessary information, clarifications, and documentation
- Complete tasks in a timely manner, adhering to work schedules and deadlines
- Collaborate effectively as a team member with both local and PwC network teams
- Identify opportunities to introduce automation in work processes
- Receive ongoing coaching to continually enhance your skills
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration or a related field
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a different field will also be considered, provided they hold an LCCI Higher or equivalent qualification
- Basic knowledge of VAT principles is an advantage; candidates with accounting knowledge but no VAT knowledge will also be considered
- Non or up to 2 years of relevant work experience; prior experience with data analytics tools is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as frequent communication with the PwC network teams is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel, and G-suite applications
- Strong numerical skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident, diligent, and demonstrates ownership
