Job Overview
The Assistant Restaurants Manager will ensure the smooth running of all Restaurants, Conference Rooms and Event Halls, in the most efficient and effective manner. He/she will deliver the highest possible standards of service through the effective development, management and leadership of the department’s human resources, equipment and provisions. The Assistant Restaurants’ Manager will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving the department’s profitability in accordance with Resorts policies, procedures and standards.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- To seek and action customer feedback at every opportunity.
- To implement correct hotel service standards, monitor and strive for continuous improvement.
- To project a positive, professional and friendly image to the guests and employees.
- To ensure a safe workplace and to inspect all Restaurants, Conference Rooms and Event Halls daily (front and back) to ensure cleanliness, physical condition and functioning equipment.
- To ensure that all Restaurant logbooks/checklists are updated
as needed, completed daily and signed.
- To ensure the daily supervision of all subordinates ensuring that their
actions, duties and opening and closing duties are carried out in accordance with the pre-set procedures.
- To sense guest needs and quickly respond to maximum satisfaction and to provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- To initiate new ideas to improve service and encourage all other team members to give their view.
- To assist in the training of employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate of a tertiary school of Hotel Management or Hotel and Catering School.
- Three years’ experience in similar position in a 4/5* hotel.
- Must speak and write English very well. Knowledge of another language will be considered an advantage.
- Computer literate and familiar with Word and Excel.
