Assistant Portfolio Manager

Our client, a CySEC regulated investment services firm and family investment office, is currently looking to enhance its team in Nicosia.

This person will support the Investment Management Team. They will have a key role in executing trades, monitoring portfolios, and supporting fund-related activities while fostering effective collaboration with external counterparties and internal stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic investment environment, emphasizing precision, confidentiality and strategic insight.

Position's Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and refining investment strategies to align with client objectives and risk tolerance.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data, to identify and assess investment opportunities.
• Continuously monitor portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with investment policy statements, performance benchmarks, and risk parameters.
• Support asset allocation processes, ensuring implementation aligns with strategic goals.
• Facilitate accurate and timely trade execution across asset classes.
• Assist in portfolio rebalancing activities, ensuring adherence to policy guidelines and market conditions.
• Manage fund subscription and redemption processes, coordinating with counterparties as required.
• Stay abreast of market trends, economic shifts, and regulatory developments, providing actionable insights to the team
• Analyze and interpret data from diverse sources, offering a holistic perspective on investments.
• Prepare performance updates, dashboards, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise effectively with internal departments, external counterparties, and service providers to ensure seamless operations.
• Uphold and promote compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CySEC regulations, and company policies.

Position's Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in investment management or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in portfolio monitoring, asset allocation, and trade execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or CFA designation strongly preferred.
• Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate (will be considered as a strong advantage).
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with proficiency in financial modelling and investment analysis tools.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to present complex data succinctly and professionally.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g. Bloomberg, Excel, or equivalent).
• Personal integrity, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Fluent in English and Greek languages
