As part of our continuous growth and development, we are currently looking to reinforce our Accounting & Bookkeeping team with an Accountant.

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your role will encompass the following core responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, debtor accounts, creditor accounts, and internal financial records to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and analyze monthly Profit and Loss statements, offering detailed insights into financial performance.

• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and financial best practices, and support external auditors during audit preparation.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including operations and compliance, to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate reporting.

• Prepare and submit VAT/VIES returns, as well as other required declarations to the Tax Department.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Continuously identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned.

The Requirements

The successful candidate needs to meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or LCCI Higher Certificate in Accounting is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of client-focused accounting experience.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards.

• Familiarity with Intelisoft accounting software is a distinct advantage.

• Strong understanding and practical experience in the application of VAT and Tax Law.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English, enabling effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.

• Thorough understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.

• Proven ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

• A commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information.
