TWO (2) POSITIONS FOR A SPECIAL SCIENTIST

Title: Special Scientist -Research (PhD student positions- Research)
Number of Positions: Two
Category: Full time/Part time employment 2 years contract with the possibility of renewal for a three year.

The Department of Physics of the University of Cyprus would like to announce two (2) full time/part time positions of Special Scientists for the Research in the Excellence Hub projects “Three-dimensional imaging of the nucleon using lattice QCD,” and “Precision nucleon structure from large-scale analyses and simulations in lattice QCD" which are funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation.
The filling of the positions is subject to the availability of funding.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
To carry out research in alignment with the two aforementioned projects.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in physics
Master’s degree in physics to be obtained by the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year.

TERMS OF CONTRACT
The employment of the Special Scientists will be with a contract. The duration of the employment will be initially for 2 years, with the possibility of a renewal for another year based on performance and availability of funds. The monthly gross salary will be between €1.083 and €1.416 based on merit and experience. There is no provision for 13th Salary.
